Casa das Oliveiras was designed to be a place for retreat with the traditional essence of Alentejo’s coast. The outdoor and indoor flow into each other smoothly.

The spaces are primed with local details set in the clean approach of nordic simplicity. The house reflects the attachment and roots that anchor the owners to this region, as well as their life experience across 3 continents.

The olive tree, which is intrinsically part of the local landscape, was part of this concept from the beginning. What if we created a house around an olive tree in the living room?

Together with the well known architect Nuno Lopes and local constructor Avelino Mateus, Casa das Oliveiras was brought to life in 2025.
